金 (JĪN)

Stacks of Gold

金(jÄ«n) means gold in chinese thus reflecting on the series of photographs taken during the golden hour.

As the beautiful sun ray shines on these skyscrapers, they reflect themselves as stacks of gold in this business district. Take a look at how these money making buildings shine beautifully as the golden hour strikes while everyone else is busy with their own errands.

EXPLORING MARINA BAY CRUISE CENTRE

An Alternative Printing Enlargement Project

These images were shot using a film camera, developed, enlarged and scanned by me. In this module we learn different alternatives to print and for this project I learnt how to develop films and enlarge them in the dark room. As for this project, I chose to visit the Marina Bay Cruise Centre as I have never been there before and thought it'd be a good opportunity to explore and shoot there as well. These are what I observed there and I hope you'll enjoy this project !

BUS RIDES

A self-initiated Narrative Project

Depending on random buses, being ignorant about where's the bus bringing me to. Instead, observing characters on this public transport we depend on so much throughout our draggy mornings, boring noons and tired nights. These images were taken from a passengers' perspective as their focus gets lower as the day passes.

TERRA INCOGNITA

A Narrative Project.

Terra Incognita means "unknown or unexplored territory", where by in this case, I will be creating a narrative of me exploring within 500 metres around bus interchanges I have never been before.
